Terms of Service

1. The service

AttentionShield provides AI-assisted email summarization and triage. With your authorization it accesses Gmail, generates summaries using third-party AI, delivers summaries as reply-to-self messages in your mailbox, and may label or archive messages according to product settings. The service is offered as a closed beta unless we announce otherwise; features may change.

2. Your account & Gmail access

• You must use a Google account you are authorized to connect.
• You grant the OAuth scopes presented at connect time (currently including gmail.modify).
• You may revoke access in Google Account settings at any time; the product will stop working for that mailbox.
• You are responsible for the content of your mailbox and for complying with Google’s terms and applicable law.

3. Subscription & payments

AttentionShield is a monthly subscription of USD $9 per month, paid up front at the start of each billing period through Stripe. There is no free trial. The subscription renews monthly until cancelled; you can cancel at any time and it will not renew, and access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Refunds are handled case-by-case during beta. We may change pricing with notice on the site. If you subscribe so that someone else (for example a parent) can use the service, you are responsible for the subscription, and that person must connect their own Google account and approve access themselves.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Abuse the service to spam, harass, or violate others’ privacy.
• Attempt to bypass billing, rate limits, or security controls.
• Resell access without written permission.
• Use the service where prohibited by law.

5. AI output disclaimer

Summaries and classifications are automated and may be incomplete or incorrect. Do not rely on them as the sole basis for legal, medical, financial, or safety-critical decisions. Always check important original messages.

6. Availability & beta

The service is provided “as is” during beta. We may suspend, limit, or discontinue features. We aim for reliability but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, mail, or profits arising from use of the service. Our aggregate liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) amounts you paid us in the 3 months before the claim or (b) USD $50.

8. Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms or pose risk to the service or other users.
