Protects your email.
Keeps your grandma safe.
For the one in the family who sets up the tech. AttentionShield sits in your parent’s or grandparent’s Gmail, turns “ACT NOW” into a plain fact, and bundles the marketing so it stops shouting. It never writes or sends replies for them, and it deletes nothing. It does not email your friends, and it does not buy things.
$9/month, paid up front · no free trial · they approve the Gmail connection themselves
What arrived
What they see
Open the row and the original email is still there, plus a short note. Nothing is deleted. The marketing is bundled, so it is out of the way, not gone.
How it works
Three steps. They can unplug it anytime.
Sit down together
You subscribe. Then your parent signs in with their own Google account and approves the connection. They can revoke it from that account whenever they like.
It reads new mail
A language model writes a short, dry summary. Sales language and fake urgency get stripped, and marketing is gathered into a bundle.
It stays in their Gmail
The summary is a short note in the same thread, addressed to your parent’s own address. Nobody else is emailed. The original is still there when they open it.
Why this one
Plenty of tools will summarize mail. These three things are the point, especially when it is not your own inbox.
Pressure does not get through
“Act now”, “last chance”, and cart-misses-you language do not become the title of the row. If a store is having a sale, they see the sale. They do not see a panic.
It never replies for them
We never write or send replies on anyone’s behalf. The only message we add is a note to your parent’s own address. We do not write to their contacts, and we do not delete mail.
It lives in the Gmail you already have
No new inbox to learn, no app to install on their phone. One flat price, so there is no meter to watch.
What happens to your mail
Said plainly, without a pitch.
What we do
- Read a message so we can write a short summary
- Change the subject shown in Gmail to a plain fact
- Bundle marketing together, out of the way
- Leave the summary as a note to the Gmail owner, in the thread
- Once a morning, send the Gmail owner a short morning note of what needs them today (turn it off in Settings)
- Store the summary and a little metadata, not the full original body
What we never do
- Sell your inbox or summaries to advertisers
- Write or send replies on anyone’s behalf
- Keep full raw message bodies sitting in our database
- Delete mail. Bundled marketing is still there
Mail content is sent to Anthropic (Claude) to write the summary. The Gmail owner can revoke access anytime from their Google account. See our Privacy Policy and Terms.
One price
One flat monthly price. Nothing to count.
Paid up front. No free trial.
- Every email that arrives, no limit to watch
- Plain-fact subjects and short summaries
- Marketing bundled, nothing deleted
- Cancel anytime; they can also revoke access from Google
Questions people actually ask
Do you read the emails?
Yes — that is the product. AttentionShield reads a message to write a summary. The content is sent to Anthropic Claude for that step. We store the summary and some metadata, not the full original body. Details: Privacy Policy.
Will it write or send replies for my parent?
No. We never write or send replies on anyone’s behalf, and we do not email their contacts. The only thing we add is a short note to the Gmail owner’s own address, in the same conversation.
Who connects whose Gmail?
Your parent connects their own. You subscribe and sit with them, but they sign in with their own Google account and approve the connection themselves. We never ask for their password, and we do not connect an account on someone’s behalf. They can revoke access at any time from their Google Account permissions. Please only set this up for someone who knows about it and agrees.
What does it cost?
$9 a month, paid up front. There is no free trial. Details are in the Terms.
How does it choose which mail to read?
You can set filters in Settings. By default we skip promotional and social mail and look at personal and work messages that are still unread.
Can it be turned off?
Yes, by the Gmail owner. They revoke AttentionShield from their Google Account permissions. That is the switch. Use it if you stop.
What writes the summaries?
Anthropic’s Claude Haiku 4.5. It is good at pulling out the actual fact of a message. A second, non-AI pass strips leftover marketing language from the subject line.
Setting this up for a parent or grandparent? Read the questions families ask, like “Can my mom turn it off?” and “What if it hides something important?”
If someone you love is setting this up for you, that is the idea.
